PINK SAUCE PASTA

Pink pasta is a combination of Alfredo sauce(white) and marinara or red pasta sauce(red). The creamy tomato sauce has a pretty pink color that gives this dish its name.


Love for pasta is unbeatable!! When someone asks me what's the best 30 mins quick and comfort food .... the answer my love is PASTA


I love my pasta little saucy so, I use penne pasta 


INGREDIENTS:

· Penne pasta

· Milk

· Salt

· Powdered black pepper

· Olive oil

· All-purpose flour / maida

· Tomatoes

· Basil

· Chilly-flakes

· Red – Chilly Powder

· Tomato Ketchup

· Garlic

· Tabasco

· Oregano (fresh or dry)

· Olive

· Red, Green & Yellow Bell Pepper

· Parmesan cheese

DIRECTIONS:

PASTA

  • Cook the pasta in hot water, oil and salt

WHITE SAUCE:

  • In a saucepan/ pan pour 2-3 tsp of olive oil, add all-purpose flour to the oil and whisk it until it comes together let it cook for about 2-3 mins and add milk in parts and whisk it continuously avoiding lumps to form.

  • Keep on stirring until everything comes together without any lumps, add salt and black pepper and let it cook till it has a thick pouring consistency

  • PS: You can also add cheese to it to make it more creamy

RED SAUCE:

  • Boil the tomatoes, peel the skin and blend it into a puree

  • In a pan, add oil, sautee garlic and finely cut green bell peppers and pour the puree, add red chilly powder, chilly flakes, oregano and basil and let it cook until it is little dry or thick

FOR PASTA:

  • In a wok, drizzle olive oil add garlic along the veggies of your choice and sautee them, add oregano and chilly flakes

  • Add the pasta and give it a good mix, add red sauce and white sauce and mix it well

  • Add ketchup, tabasco and salt to taste

  • You can also add little fresh cream to make it more creamy

  • Cook for 5- 10 mins and serve it in a bowl, sprinkle some parmesan cheese

  • Some fresh cut basil leaves and olives
